A retro find – Game Boy Advance

Photo-0005#1.jpgNow this story is no where as interesting as it could be, indeed I did find a Game Boy Advance and several games however all they were were the boxes. Admittedly they had everything in there like manuals and annoying cardboard packaging but the main items were missing…shame.

I must have sold the Game Boy a couple of years ago in a carry case and that was obviously the reason why I didn’t ship it with the original box, can’t really remember though but it seems a bit weird. The games are the same and I thought I would have thrown the empty boxes away but obviously not.  Those games bring back some memories including spending hours literally completing Pokemon Silver…gosh that was a while ago

Also how poor some of the games really were, I can remember that England Three Lions was one of the worst football games I ever played which my iPhone could easily beat now and even looking back then I see it was a bad purchase. Buzz Lightyear was a present so don’t judge me but that was fun for a little while, on the other hand Pokemon would still make it today. It wasn’t the graphics or GUI that made it great.  It was the story and ability to do what you wanted and could be seen as one of the first most open RPG games. Ah..those were the days…where now we have loads of open world role playing games like Oblivion which I believe to be the best so far to date.

Photo-0004#1.jpgThis retro find has made me look for my Nintendo DS somewhere, but with my portable gaming on my iPhone currently I am not that desperate.  I’ll get round to undusting it soon enough and complete some more of that dam Brain Training.
