Online Code Challenge!
Every now and then you'll come across certain challenges and quizzes on the internet. Several years ago I got really involved in cracking online cipher challenges and I even visited Bletchley Park, UK, which if you don't know, is where the British decrypted the German Enigma Machine and other ciphers. It's a forgotten side of the war and the efforts of the men and women there surely shortened the war by some months. I totally recommend visiting it!
There are many online sites dedicated to logic games and it is a secret guilty pleasure of mine. Unfortunately recently I haven't had the time to get stuck into a cyber code challenge until I came across Can You Crack It? at www.canyoucrackit.co.uk. It's a brand new online site where you have to try and crack a new code within a time limit. I'd be interested to know what attracts you to puzzles and challenges. I think its the sense of personal achievment you get once you finally crack the code after much investment in personal time and effort. Although it is very very frustrating when you just can't figure it out! I could not get far on Can You Crack it, but I am sure you can beat me!
So I thought I would let you know about the site as it is always nice to use the internet for something constructive and logical every once and a while…Let me know if you crack the code or have any other sites which you reccommend. I'll pass them onto the community and we can see who is the best!
